High School Graduates

Chance Seefus (Omaha Concordia High School) and Austin Wegner (Omaha North High School) are graduating this year. Congratulations!

Confirmation Celebration, May 26

Aryanna Hogue and Austin Wegner will affirm their baptismal covenant (Confirmation) on May 26. Bob Wegner,  Betsy Kosch and their families invite you to a cake reception after the Bible Class Hour at 11:30 A.M. to celebrate.

Women's Bible Study Cookout, May 21

Any woman who has ever attended the Women’s Bible Study, thought about attending the Women’s Bible Study or just want the night off from making dinner for the family are invited to an “end of the year” get together at Dixie Gerhart’s house (8215 N. 46th St.) on Tuesday, May 21, at 6:00 p.m. Chef Chuck will grill some burgers and hot dogs for us, plus we’ll have salads, chips, appetizers and desserts. Please come for an evening of food, fellowship and fun!!

Men's Group

The men’s group continues to meet weekly on Wednesday evenings from 6:00—7:30 p.m. for Bible study, prayer, fellowship and service work. If you have questions or would like to participate, please contact Tim Lorang (402-578-8338; tlorang@eliteins4u.com).

Non-Alcoholic Wine

For those who need to avoid alcohol and yet want to commune with their fellow Mount Olive brothers and sisters, the very center glass in each communion tray now has non-alcoholic wine in it for your reception. We encourage its use. Please speak with Pastor Jank if you have questions

Automatic Giving

Joyful Response is a way to make your Sunday morning offerings convenient and consistent through preauthorized withdrawal from your checking account at no extra cost to you. It is safe and secure. Your giving continues even if you are out of town or aren’t able to be at a worship service. Pick up a Joyful Response brochure from Max Williams or from the Church Office. Learn more at our Joyful Response home page. More members each year are using this plan.

Little Free Pantry


The “Little Free Pantry” is operating This small cabinet with non-perishable food items, paper goods, and other items sits outside the north entry of Mount Olive. It is accessible 24 hours per day to anyone. There aren’t any applications to fill out or set hours of operation. The pantry will be stocked by donations from all of us but can also be stocked by a concerned neighbor. Please, no glass jars or expired food. You can place your items inside the marked cabinet that is in the old nursery room right behind the doorway. These items are needed; applesauce, baby food, baked beans, bean soup, beef stew, bran cereals, bread, bread and muffin mixes, canned and dried beans, canned chili, canned chicken, canned fruit, canned tomato products, canned tuna or salmon, canned vegetables, cold and hot cereals, dried fruit, dry noodles and pasta, evaporated milk, flour, fruit juice, graham crackers, granola bars, honey, infant cereal, infant formula, instant breakfast drinks, jelly and jam, macaroni and cheese, mayonnaise, noodle mixes, oatmeal, pancake mix, peanut butter, popcorn, powdered milk, rice and rice mixes, salad dressings, shelf-stable milk, sugar, syrup, whole grain crackers, vegetable oil, vegetable soup, and vegetable juice.
