Bible Apps (Free)

"You search the scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that testify on my behalf." (John 5:39)  There are so many Bible apps, we don't can't really say one is best. However, here are a couple you might wish to try:
Bible Gateway
Read and listen to the Bible from this app by Harper Collins. The default translation is the New International Version (NIV), but other translations are available.
NRSV Bible
We use the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) translation of the Bible for study at Mount Olive. This is also a free app available for Android devices. There are paid apps for NRSV translations at the iTunes store, but we are not aware of a free NRSV app for Apple.

Luther's Small Catechism Mobile App (Free)

We’re excited to feature the first mobile app from Augsburg Fortress—Luther’s Small Catechism.
