Even if you are home bound, you can pray, make phone calls, etc. Help us find a job, task, or role that suits your talents and interests by downloading this form and returning it to the Church Office or to Connie Townsend at roonie@cox.net.

Lutheran Family Services CARES Assistance

Mount Olive already supports Lutheran Family Services (LFS) through our "Bringing Christ to All the World" tithe. LFS has applied for and received a grant under the CARES Act that enables LFS to serve Nebraska individuals and families whose lives have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The financial assistance from this fund may be used to cover the following:
  • Overdue rent or mortgage to avoid eviction or foreclosure
  • Utility costs to prevent shutoff
  • Basic needs items, including groceries, formula, diapers, personal hygiene products, and household cleansers
  • Purchase of one smartphone and/or tablet per household to enable telehealth access or for school-aged youth to access online school platforms.

if you know of anyone who might need any of the above help in Omaha or anywhere in the State of Nebraska, please assist them by downloading and referring them to one of the information sheets in English or in Spanish

Sunday Bible Class

Sunday morning Bible class continues, led by our own Pastor Albers. The class begins at 10:15 AM with sharing, celebrations, and prayer. Then Pastor will share insights on the Gospel lesson for that Sunday.

New Wednesday Morning Bible Class

We are excited to announce that Pastor Moorhead is beginning a new Wednesday morning Bible class on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 AM. It will be held in Luther Hall. Masks and social distancing are encouraged. Usually he will direct our focus to the upcoming Old Testament reading. If possible, this class will be streamed live and recorded for later viewing on Mount Olive's YouTube page.

Reliable Websites for COVID-19 Info

There is a lot inaccurate information out there about COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Click the following link to national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 web page for reliable information. For local information, go to the Douglas County Health Department website.
PC Magazine reports that scammers hare already started taking advantage of this situation. For example, a number of phone apps, purporting to help people track incidences of the COVID-19 virus, are actually installing malware on phones. Please keep yourself and your devices safe.
